Emotional tension: The pressure of collective silence and the urgent possibility of awakening.
Scene: A powerful, sparse interior: a broad near-charcoal slate wall occupies the lower illustration field, with a partly open, plain dusty red door near the right third. The door is seen at an angle, leaving a very narrow vertical ivory slit; this opens into a long triangular wedge of untouched paper across the empty floor. The wall has no bricks or windows. Three broad printed planes total, with irregular edges and just enough scraped ink to feel human. The wall begins around y=735 and the floor ends by y=1320. No object floating on blank paper; this is a room you could enter.
Visual decision: A dense dark enclosure interrupted by one thin opening, the paper light widening toward the reader.
